On May 25, 2004, with the spectacular backdrop of the Sound and Light Theatre in Giza, the Second Bedouin Heritage Fashion Show took place. The initiative also offered Bedouin women a possibility of social and economic emancipation.

The event was attended by the Italian Ambassador to Egypt H.E. Antonio Badini, the Egyptian minister of Industry Ali el Saidi, the Minister of State for foreign affairs, Faiza Aboul Naga, the Minister for Local Development, Mustafa Abdel Qader, the Governors of Sinai, Marsa Matrouh and Giza, together with many representatives of the international community in Cairo.
